At Tibberton CE Primary School our total week amounts to 32.5 hours in a typical week. This is in line with the government’s green paper outlining a minimum number of hours that a school should operate.
Our school day starts at 8:45am, although we ask you to arrive just before so we can get off to a prompt start. If you’re new to our school, you should take time to read our Parking & our Safe School Zone information. Full details of our school day can be read below.

An act of collective worship takes place each day and is led on Monday by the headteacher. Parents have the right to withdraw their children from the act of collective worship. Please talk to the Headteacher about this.
Arrival and Lateness
Children should not arrive at school until 8.40am when the gates open. Children remain in the care of parents and carers until the gates open.
If children are late and the playground door is locked, please use the front entrance and report to the school office. As requested by the Education Welfare Officer, pupils arriving after 8:45am are recorded in the school Late Book.
If pupils are absent and school has had no notification by 9:30am, a member of staff will telephone parents/carers to ensure the pupil’s safety.
