Welcome to the School Council webpage at Tibberton CE Primary School
“Pupils take on a range of roles and responsibilities– all pupils know they have a voice in the school. This helps develop pupils’ confidence and talents.” (Ofsted, May 2024)
The school council is divided into several sub-committees listed below:
- House Captains
- The Tibberton Safeguarding Team
- The Road Safety Team
- Eco-warriors
The school council also assists the school leadership in the recruitment of new staff members to ensure that our voice is heard. We know joining any school can also be a little daunting, so we make sure that one of the team meets with any new pupil joining the school to make them feel at home and cared for. If they need a buddy to settle in we can help there too.
House Captains
Following a whole-school vote in early 2022, our houses were formed under the names of four icons, Marcus Rashford, Ellie Simmonds, Matt Baker and David Attenborough. As House Captains, we are responsible for collating team points and organising the rewards for good behaviour within the school.
We’ve even written to our icons in the hope that they may one day visit us and and understand why they were chosen to represent us!

We’ve also written a leaflet to outline our work and what is important to us:

We have also written an appeal to Joe Wicks to help us with our Healthy Lifestyles Campaign:

Sometimes we lead worships at school and we’re keen to listen and taken feedback from pupils. Here are our latest presentations:

Road Safety Team

We work with our friends at Telford & Wrekin to make sure that we all know how to be safe around the school. Here are some hyperlinks that you may find useful:
Eco-Warriors
Our eco-warrior committee is dedicated to the school’s green credentials. This includes working with Telford & Wrekin’s Let’s Dine Team to make sure our food is locally sourced and sustainable. We also choose our own school meals and help to minimise any waste.
