Courage

Our new value for this half term is Courage.

In worship, we have been talking about how people in the Bible showed courage, for example Moses hearing from the talking bush, or Esther going to Xerxes to save the Jews.

The children have been thinking about their own courage, and how this doesn’t mean not being afraid, but rather accepting their fear and having a go anyway. We are looking forward to seeing lots of courage as we tackle some new adventures on the residential visit next week!

Some of the children responded to worship by writing poems this week. Here is just one example:

Courage is a little voice at the end of the day saying I’ll try again tomorrow

Overcoming your fears

Understanding courage isn’t a roar

Respecting everyone’s fears

Always be courageous

Getting back up and trying again

Everyone has fears to overcome.
