Children from right across Tibberton school took part in a Chinese plate decorating workshop. They learnt about traditional Chinese designs, the importance of certain animals, shapes and colours, and how to use these in combination to create an effective design.
The children all enjoyed this experience, and the range of ideas was wonderful. There are some very talented children coming home this afternoon with plates that we are sure you will want to display!
As well as being fun, the children have been learning about how different cultures recognise different celebrations, and why this is and the significance to other people of them. We are proud that the children have a strong understanding of other cultures, and that they are respectful of everyone’s differences.
