The governors of our Federation are looking to join St Bartholomew’s CE Trust in the near future.

Our Chair of Governors, Caroline Sands has set out the process for doing so and is seeking to consult with parents.

Our young reporters were pleased to published their brand new publication – The Tibberton Times – this week. The group meet after-school to act as journalists, editors and publishers in producing their newspaper.

Many children at Tibberton have a passion for music which is strengthened by our work with the Telford & Music Service and weekly lessons on drums, guitar, piano and wind instruments. There is no better feeling than performing for an audience and many of our young musicians were joined by the whole school and parents to hear their practice pay off. Thanks to Mr Rainbow and his colleagues for coordinating the event for us.

The children of Tibberton entered into the community spirit this week by giving samples of their blood for research. Almost 60 children willingly participated in the project with our NHS nursing team to find out whether they were at risk of developing diabetes and also contribute towards national studies into the condition. Many were inspired to participate following the example of their peers and staff members who have talked to them about living with diabetes. We were very proud of their efforts, especially as Tibberton had the highest take-up rate of any school in the borough!
