Tomorrow’s events – Friday 14th December 2018
Christmas Jumper Day
On Friday 14th December thousands of people up and down the UK will start their day by putting on a Christmas jumper for a great cause – to help create a brighter future for children. Tibberton are taking part this year and we would love to see your finest Christmas jumpers. Don’t worry if you don’t have a jumper – please do not go out and buy one! A Christmas T-shirt, festive scarf or a pair of Santa socks are just as great! Please note that it is not full mufti, just one Christmas item such as the ones listed above. If you are able to provide a small contribution we would be very grateful. Any money raised will be given to the charity Save the Children.
Visit from Ryan Kennedy
Tomorrow we have a special visitor coming to our school to speak to a small group of children for a radio broadcast.
Ryan Kennedy, a presenter on BBC Radio Shropshire, visits a different school each week – mostly speaking to Year 4, 5 and 6 pupils. He records the young people giving their views on news stories and current affairs. These recordings are then broadcast on BBC Radio Shropshire’s Sunday Breakfast Show between 8.30am and 9am each week.
As well as this, he will be presenting a live segment for BBC Shropshire in the morning (between 8:40 and 9:00am at our school) about Christmas Jumper Day in aid of Save the Children. He would like to know why we are supporting Christmas Jumper Day and would like to chat to a couple of jumper wearers. So, if you have a few spare minutes why not stop and have a chat with him!
