Our resident Safeguarding Team and Bronze Ambassador sports leaders have joined forces this week in a new venture aimed at encouraging playground safety.
As previously posted on our website (dated 20th January) we currently provide a variety of clubs and opportunities for children to take part in during lunchtime. The two groups thought it would be a good idea to work together to further develop playground activity so as to encourage positive friendships and teamwork (following the TST’s recent Friendship Campaign), whilst also engaging the children in physical activity (in support of the BA’s ongoing physical activity programme).
Both groups are planning on regularly introducing a new game or activity to the whole school during Superstars assembly. Based on a rota system, the leaders will then write up the game and place it into their Playground and Activity folder for the children to refer to at lunchtimes. All children taking part will be rewarded with stickers and house points.
Members of Tibberton Safeguarding Team and the Bronze Ambassadors can be easily spotted on the playground wearing their high visibility vests should the children need help or support when trying out any of the new games/activities.
