Cross Country Race 4 – Wednesday, 9th May at Chetwynd Park
We have had confirmation that the postponed race at Chetwynd Park will now take place on Wednesday 9th May.
I have included the original travel arrangements for the final race with a few adjustments, so that you know who is travelling with you, if you offered to help.
If your child is travelling with someone else to the race, please ensure they bring their booster seat to school if needed. As the event this week is closer to home, we will leave school at approximately 3:15pm to allow time to park and warm up together. Please contact me if there are any problems with the arrangements listed.
Parking for this race is on the top field at Chetwynd Park with a short walk down to the race area. Look out for each other and our flag on the field.
As usual, please ensure that your child/children have their school PE kit to wear for the race along with suitable running shoes. Trainers are perfectly adequate, but running spikes are allowed. If you wish to run in spikes, please bring along your trainers as well just in case they are needed. Also a waterproof coat and warm clothing for after the race is needed, as the runners will cool down very quickly after their race. Children must bring and be responsible for their own water bottle and any inhalers that they need.
Children must return to and stay in the designated school area until an adult is able to collect them. Children are free to leave the event once they have raced, but please remember to collect your child from our designated area and let a member of staff know you are leaving.
Please note that if you need to pick up siblings at the same time as we are leaving school for the races, this is permitted, but I would be grateful if you could let me know so that we can have them ready and waiting with the runners.
